TBSE-B

A body mod that puts breasts on the M model because I am particular and wanted a certain shape. I basically took the killerbod's breasts, stuck them on TBSE-W slim, and then retopologized and went wild on the UVs, weights, and vertex normals to get just the right shape while focusing on clean modeling. I wanted something that imitated how fat lays overtop of the pectoral muscles while also having a fuller shape, easily scales with customize+/animates with physics (eventually), and does not require TOO much texture editing.

This surely isn't something you can do with just a customize+ scaling! The main preview no longer has my character's scaling! SO so sorry about that, I was clearly not thinking that it'd mislead people. Little things to learn! Thank you to anon for bringing it up to me.

This is a Model only edit. Please install this higher than TBSE. It uses material B. You should reroute it to FTMSE if you like, or use penumbra to import from screen and edit your textures within the modpack itself.

I did my best with the UV, but there's no good solution to retain a UV compatible with the original textures. There was just too much texture stretching if I were to have the crease of the breasts align with the crease of the TBSE pectoral muscles.

THERE WILL BE A MASSIVE SEAM UNDER THE NIPPLE IF YOU DO NOT UTILIZE THE NORMAL MAP OVERLAY THAT I HAVE PROVIDED (or make your own) .

There may be warping of textures made for TBSE UV layout around and on the breasts. Just slap the overlay over your normal map with either the Textools overlay button, or edit it yourself in your editing program of choice. Please do not ask me to do this for you, there are SO many different normal maps/scars/body hair combinations that to try to adjust them all for TBSE-B myself would be madness. Feel free to release any normal map with the proper corrections for others to use.

quick lil tutorial for an easy way to add the provided overlay with your character's normal map. Required: Textools and Penumbra.

1) make a new modpack in penumbra. Name it whatever you want.
2) advanced editing within that modpack. Go to ‘import from screen’ tab. Find your character’s skin material and normal map (should be under skin> material will either end in _b or _FTMSE > for texture the file that ends in _n is normal map) click the little buttons on the far right of the paths that says import to mod.
3) open up textools. Upper right corner, open transaction menu. Click ‘attach to penumbra’, then navigate to and select the folder of the mod you just created. Just the folder itself, no deeper within it.
4) in the leftmost box in textools, navigate to the texture. Character>body> find your race> should be body 1. Xaela will be 101. Viera have their own diffuse textures but the normal map is shared with middies, elezen, and miqo’te
5) within the central window, Click the material drop down and select material b (or FTMSE, depending on which you've used as your base). Then, the next dropdown to the right, select normal.
6) hit the overlay button, and select the TBSE-B overlay. It’ll overlay onto your texture.
7) hit save to tx. Done! Commit transaction in the transaction window, then you are free to cancel the transaction. Your normal map is now saved to its own mod in penumbra and can be toggled on and off, depending on if you want to use B at that moment or not!

fine tuning will be needed depending on if your character uses au ra scales on their normal map. you will need an image editor for this, as the above method will make scales that overlap with the overlay flat!


The topology of the breasts are subdivided, so the tri count is a touch on the higher side. Not WILDLY high, but that is something to consider if you want to use this mod/ any ports of it with Mare Synchronos.

I find that they scale smaller best on all axii, but if you want to scale them bigger, stick with just x and y- when scaling up with z, they stick out a lot.

FUTURE PLANS

I want to port this chest onto other TBSE derivative bodies as well! Something along the lines of bringing it back to W, then X/Q/Z, Echo, and Chonk. still musing on what'll be the best way to go about it. I want all of them to have the compression/cleavage shapekeys. I also want to make a binder shapekey, as well as a sag shapekey. Different base breast shapes would be really neat as well, but I tend to be a bit too ambitious and then take forever to work on things. We'll see. I have a lot more anatomy studies to do.

I eventually want to learn how physics mods work and try to make this compatible with one since a lil boobie jiggle would be really nice.

I fixed some weird creasing in the side of the ribs, and then puffed/deflattened the nipples a bit! they're not as oddly shaped as they were. Could be better, but eh, we workin with what we got.

I added a bit of a devkit .fbx of the body in quads, as well as a version with lighter weights and compression/cleavage shapekeys! Now porting will be made slightly easier with some different shapes depending on the garment you're modding. See notes in the folder!
