Yes, I know there's like 3 ear flap removers out there. None of them were updating for model changes so I threw together an all in one resource to cover most use cases. I don't really care if you use mine or someone else's.
What each modpack does and it's purpose:Ear Flap RemoversThere's modpacks for faces as they were in 7.0 (original female 2/102, 3/103, and 4/104), 7.1 (female 2/102, 3/103, and 4/104 updates), and 7.2 (shadows updated, unsure what else). They are to remove the fleshy inner ear flaps for using custom ears. Every single face has the option to remove them on the head model or the face diffuse/base. To remove the outer fur part of the ear, you will need to use earless hairstyles.
Complete Ear RemoverThis modpack is for when a hairstyle does not have an earless option. Alternatively, it can be used to remove both parts of the ear, no additional mods needed. However, this requires you to use The Emperor's New Hat thus sacrificing your head item. You can technically use this with vanilla hair but for like 95% of vanilla miqo'te hair there are holes under the ears and fur around the area. Unless you are using modded ears that perfectly cover both of those things you're better off modding the hairstyle.
Ear RestorerThis modpack is for when a hairstyle only has an earless version or for those rare times face sculpts do not include ear flaps. It places the vanilla ears on item to restore your ears, no Blender needed. Option for The Emperor's New Earrings or The Emperor's New Hat. Emperor's New Hat has IMC toggle options but earrings don't appear to be able to accept multiple toggles so Emperor's New Earring has multiple individual options.
Males have options for a few of their different ear patterns, females have the style from hair 115. Per a request, Major Praline's longer miqo'te ears are now included for hair that have large gaps between the ears. The longer ear textures are meant to look more like modded hair textures and may look too bright on vanilla hair.
Male Ear SwapperMale miqo'te ears have several different patterns all of which are tied to vanilla hairstyles. I picked three of them, plus the usual plain ones, and placed them on the Werewolf Head. The Werewolf Head will hide your current ears allowing you to mix and match the patterned ears. For specifics, ears were taken from hair 1, 3, 5, and 105.
This modpack is male only.Known Issues:The bottoms of the male Dark Tips ears where the ear would normally connect to the hair are too dark. Fluffier hair should cover them, alternatively, the other options can achieve similar looks.
The metadata used to hide ears on the Male Ear Swapper sometimes hides fur that covers the base of the ears for vanilla hair. In a handful of cases (I saw around a dozen), this creates small gaps in the hair. This is an issue with the hair not this mod.
The metadata used for the Complete Ear Remover cannot always hide the fur around the base of the ears on vanilla hair. In almost every case, it will also leave holes in vanilla hair. This is an issue with the hair not this mod.
As always, this is a lot of stuff so it's possible I made errors. Send a bug report or shoot me a DM if you catch any.Wanna tag me or see what I'm working on? Find me on bluesky
