One of the first VFX projects I've released... Now in the Dawntrail version! With some of the spells (such as F3) updated and remastered! To more closely fit the theme of this mod. This VFX pack reimagines Black Mage as a "Bringer" or "Herald" of Revenge/Justice for the faerie. I've included the alternate names and little tidbits of lore to further enhance the vibe that I've always had for this in-game
headcannon for my WOL/VFX mod Hehe.
Long ago the faerie gifted the knowledge of harnessing the elements of nature and their homeland to humanity as a gesture of peace and coexistence. A loud minority of individuals wanting nothing more than power and dominance forsake those gifts, using them to destroy and conquer, ending an eon of peace and harmony on Erozea. Polluting the earth, poisoning the waters, and darkening the skies of their kingdoms. Centuries later, since the very act of betrayal that began the imbalance of Aether and abuse of the gifts given out of generosity, in comes you! What first started as dreams and whispers now has culminated in you, the player, into a bringer of vengeance. Using the once pure-of-heart methods of the fae to enact this revenge, you must bring back the balance that was once held in this world.
If you encounter any bugs or issues, please report them using the XIVModArchive inbox function! Or feel free to DM me on Bluesky. And I'll fix them in due time when I am able, if there are any. I suggest that you enable this under your individual character in Penumbra instead of the default collection, as a lot of the spells are very over the top haha. and will be a little overwhelming! I've also included some "minimal" versions of the loudest spells in terms of visual effects!
