I’ve tumbled head-over-heels into the enchanting world of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and I’m absolutely smitten! 😍
To bring a sprinkle of its magical vibes into Final Fantasy XIV, I’ve made this mod that swaps out some of FFXIV’s soundtrack with the music from Clair Obscur. I really needed more of the game in my life.

Full credit goes to Sandfall Interactive and the talented folks behind Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
I only swapped the tracks, but their music is amazing! ✨

About the Mod 🎵
This mod lovingly replaces the background music in some locations with the OST of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

Affected areas include:
Starting cities 🏰
Housing districts 🏡
Basic flying mounts ✈️
Gold Saucer 🎡
And more!

Every track replacement is fully toggleable, so you can mix and match to your taste! 🌌



Important: How to Install 🛠️💡

Installing BGM mods can be a tiny bit finicky due to how Penumbra collections work, but don’t worry, I’ve got you covered! 😘

Follow these steps carefully to avoid any hiccups:

Understand Your Default Collection: In Penumbra, your Default Collection is where mods (like outfits or music) apply to everyone you’re not synced with. If you have literally no idea what i am talking about, ask your friends or check the penumbra discord!

-> Import the .pmp file into Penumbra.
-> Head to your Default Collection and enable the mod.
-> If the game crashes, no stress, it’s normal sometimes! 😅 (It's because you are changing something that is currently active, so the game doesn't like that and crash you)

Simply restart FFXIV, and you’re good to go! 🎉

Pro Tip: To prevent crashes, import and activate the mod while chilling in a safe spot that wont be changed, like an inn or your house where orchestrion is playing 🏠️.
This keeps things smooth and crash-free! 😎

Note: Changing mod settings while in an area with active or upcoming modded music may also cause a crash. To avoid this, tweak your settings somewhere where no replaced music plays! 🛏️
