A lot has changed over the years in XIV, and one of the biggest is how much clothing has expanded and evolved since the early days. Rather than letting the residents of Eorzea squalor in blandness, A Realm Restyled aims to use newer vanilla gear and improved systems to update character outfits to be more unique, while maintaining their personal styles. The gear is pre-dyed to better match the originals, and includes custom updated shaders when applicable.
ARR Thancred's new look gives him his Heavensward boots to add some consistency, and a custom Shirt of Divine Light with DT shaders and colours styled after his regular top.
To use it, just make a Penumbra collection that applies to Thancred and turn the mod on.
