The SA80/L85 program is considered a little bit of a silly story in the gun community. Namely it is widely known as one of the worst service rifles pushed into service in any modern army at the time of the L85/A1. Requiring rebuilds and improvements made by H&K in Germany before finally making the A2 (very serviceable rifle) and later the L85A3, the reputation has still stuck.
So here it is; just after it sucked, and just as it was becoming decent I present to you the L85A2 /w SUSAT sight!
