Huge thank you to Nagunkgunk for their initial Halo inspired helmet, which was utilized in this mashup. Additional thanks to Yuki for their skull asset.

The Palisade Arsenal's first official Operation involved an investigation into a strange signal coming from the dark side of the moon. A fireteam of four was sent in on foot to investigate the anomaly, outfitted in prototype Voidjumper series armor and retrofitted cosmosuits. As they approached the site, they noticed a field of large obsidian spikes, like trees of barbed wire. At the center, nestled at the bottom of a crater, was a floating artifact stated to be "fractal" in appearance. Its shape seemed to shift periodically, seemingly physical in form, however ephemeral. Operator Crow claimed to feel a sense of overwhelming dread, as if a language of emotion was pleading for them to leave.
They did not. Sticking to protocol, Operator Raven began to take readings of the anomaly from a distance of 10 yalms. Upon analyzing the data, Raven grew silent before suddenly moving towards the object. The fireteam called for him to stop, but the operator reached out and tried to grasp the artifact with an outstretched hand. Bullets would not tear through the energy shielding fast enough. Raven made contact.
A surge of darkness erupted out of the anomaly, drowning the area and preventing communication with the outside. Crow, Raven, and Rook instantly were eliminated as the toxic aether overwhelmed even the dark-resistant material of their armors. Their physical aether was leeched until nothing was left but bone. The fireteam leader, Operator [NULL], was pulled deep into the void.
[NULL] was thrust into the first voiddive, but after several weeks, he was successfully recovered by Palisade forces. By the time he managed to return to the Source, the cloud of darkness had cleared, allowing long distance analysis of the signal once more. Their suits were transmitting a KIA beacon, confirming that they had indeed been terminated.
And yet, they were still moving.

This is a helmet mashup heavily inspired by the Haunted helmet of Halo: Reach and the Silence in the Library episode of Dr. Who. It should be compatible with all races and genders, though only only miqo'te, viera, and hrothgar will have their racial specific features. The other ones would get in the way of the attachment, which can be freely toggled with the visor feature. The helmet comes with blue flames, orange flames, or no VFX. Additionally, the visor can be made into an opaque glass texture similar to the standard Void Jumper visor.
Happy October~
