Better Deaths is a raid progression tool for answering the question every static asks after a wipe:
“What actually killed us?” Instead of guessing from party frames, scrolling combat logs, or relying on whoever happened to see the death, Better Deaths records each pull and turns deaths into a readable in-game recap. It helps you quickly see the fatal hit, the player’s HP and shields before death, active buffs and debuffs, mitigation context, recent actions, and what was happening around the moment things went wrong.
It is built for savage and ultimate progression, where fast wipe review matters and small details decide whether the next pull improves.
Better Deaths helps with:
- Finding the real cause of death instead of guessing
- Reviewing deaths pull-by-pull during prog
- Seeing HP, shields, buffs, debuffs, and mitigation around the death
- Checking recent player actions before the fatal moment
- Spotting missed mitigation, low HP, DoTs, debuffs, and multi-hit sequences
- Sharing concise death summaries in chat
- Using local recap links so other Better Deaths users can open the same saved pull
- Reviewing Death Replay (beta) data with positions, markers, mechanics, labels, and tethers
- Keeping death history available after wipes, reloads, or plugin updates
- Redacting names for screenshots, logs, and group discussion
Whether you are raid leading, reviewing prog between pulls, checking why a mitigation plan failed, or just trying to understand your own death, Better Deaths gives you the context faster so the group can get back to pulling.
All data is stored locally on your machine. Better Deaths does not upload combat data, does not use telemetry, and does not send wipe information to a server.
