Do you ever wish you could replace your character's horns without affecting everyone who shares your face shape? Give this a try!
This mod replaces the Demonic Horns for Au Ra with one of 15 horn shapes - 14 vanilla shapes, plus the "Pincers-Be-Gone" edit by Maho for the feminine face 3. You can choose different horn shapes for masculine and feminine Au Ra, and can choose between Raen and Xaela independently. This mod uses your existing facial textures and is as such compatible with any scale mods you have out of the box, no fiddly importing required.
If you're wondering why this is on a headpiece and not an earring or similar, it's a technical limitation. This mod replaces the original horn mesh by using a flag in the metadata that controls whether the character's ears are visible. This flag isn't present on accessory items and, as such, trying to port this to earrings or anything else would lead to duplicate horns. The entire point is that this will work without a dedicated face mesh edit.
No edits are made to the face textures or meshes in any way (with one exception which I'll get to in a minute), which means this mod is compatible with any and all scale mods you have installed. However, you may encounter issues with mods that also affect the Demonic Horns.
OTHER ISSUES:
◽ For similar reasons as the 'why hat' question above, you must select both masculine and feminine replacers when installing this mod. Installing this mod for only one body type would cause the horns of the other to disappear, as metadata flags cannot be set on a per-gender basis.
◽ No Au Ra scale mod that I know of currently affects the elderly or child textures. 1K upscales have been provided for them as an optional addon in the mod; if you do not already have those textures upscaled I would highly suggest doing so. (As a fun bonus, this will fix the issue wherein Halric's horns were using the wrong texture!)
◽ Horn accessories (the metal doohickeys or bandages for child models) are not included and will not be included, as doing so would bring the number of options to over 100 and I just don't have the mental fortitude for that. Sorry.
