Introducing the Garlic Novus D! With the help of fellow modder pharren, this four-seater magitek passenger vehicle is now available to all of you! Whether you are Voidica wir Queenius who commands her own private legion, a Peregrinus toiling away at the bottom of the Garlean social ladder, an Eorzean who has never once set foot in Ilsabard, or anyone else with or without a legitimate reason to own one of these, you can now enjoy unrivaled comforts the likes of which only the Garlean Empire could offer! Featuring a unique mount theme, "Home Beyond the Horizon", in memory of the brave soldiers who liberated the Garlean motherland of Locus Amoenus from the savage hands of barbarian Corvosi invaders. :D
And then enslaved their descendants to punish them for the sins of their forefathers, but they probably had it coming, anyways.
Update 1.1: After collaborating with narnio, this mod has now been merged with their Regalia port, and the mount music has been ported to the Regalia, allowing players to access the mount either via savage content or the FFXV Collaboration Event. The animations for Hrothgar and Roegadyn have also been fixed, while the overall file size has been reduced.
Q&A
Q: Why is the car called Novus D?
A: The name is taken from the Clockwork Novus D minion, which has a shape similar to the car itself, referring to it as a 'popular magitek passenger vehicle' and 'a favorite of Garlean children'. The name is therefore assumed to be Novus D.
Q: Why won't the mount music play?
A: The mod has to be installed under the default collection for sound mods to work. Yes, it means every Skyslipper and Regalia will look like the Novus D, but the mounts are rarely seen in my experience, so it should not be a problem.
Q: Why does the car hover?
A: It is shown to hover in the official concept art book for Endwalker published by Square Enix.
Known Issues:
• The custom mount music will not play unless the mod is installed under both the Default collection and Your Character collection in Penumbra.
• Because Mare does not share .scd files, passengers cannot hear the music unless they also have the mod installed.
• Because Mare does not share .pap data for passenger seats in mounts, passengers may be visible unless they also have the mod installed.
