Whether you're taking a field trip in the thick foliage of the Twelveswood, performing reconnaissance in the frigid wastes of Coerthas, or conducting counterinsurgency against religious fundamentalists of Rhalgr in the mountains of Gyr Abania, you can be sure to stay shielded from the elements with your very own Garlean tent! The mod includes biome variants for the desert, tundra, and woodland, as well as a lightweight cermet heater.

Q: How did you make this mod?
A: Several hours of fucking around with model editing and UV mapping combined with an unhealthy dose of sleep deprivation. The tundra and woodland textures were both sourced for the game, while the desert texture was custom-made by myself. I was putting this one off for way too long because lining up the Garlean chain symbol was a bloody nightmare.
Q: Where is the Garlean tent seen?
A: It is seen in the Endwalker quest A Frosty Reception.
Q: Will you update this when 7.0 drops?
A: As with my ever-expanding list of works, if the graphics for it improve, then yes.
Q: What's your favorite food?
A: Hard to pick one. I enjoy chimkn borgr, and chimkn lasagna. I also love pancakes and milk chocolate, and.
Q: What's your favorite drink?
A: Choccy milk, chai and most variants of coffee. Lattes are a top pick.
Q: Do you have no other ideas for Q&A's?
A: Yes I don't.
Known Issues:
• Because it lacks collision (which couldn't be added without alerting the server that your character is in the air), ithe modelhas been placed close to the ground to prevent the player characters' boots from clipping through the bottom of the tent. The trade-off is that the ground may occasionally clip through the tent floor, depending on how flat the surface beneath it is.
• As a background object, the tent was never meant to be entered. Because of this, some parts of the model are only visible from the outside.
• There's a square seam that is only somewhat noticeable around the Garlean symbols. Fixing this would demand multiple rounds of subdivision and a level of perfectionism beyond the one I'm already struggling with.
• There are some minor pixelated splotches left over from the material colorset painting, because it requires pixel-perfect texture painting. If you're skilled or crazed enough to pull it off, hit me up and I'd be happy to put you up as a contributor.
